During the lockdown I finally found time to go through old photos taken during our time in Malaysia and especially Borneo. Love its beautiful flora and fauna. We spotted pitcher plants many times far away from Kota Kinabalu till a friend pointed them out to me during one of our walks in Bukit Padang. When hiking on the trails you can see them growing there and isn’t it great people just look and pass by without taking them. We spotted these paradise flowers everywhere in gardens and in the wild when we came to Borneo. We thought it was very special as we only seen them sometimes in flower shops in the Netherlands for a big price. Love the beautiful flowers like this (Pelican) flower: a Dutchman's Pipe flower - in this case the Grand Dutchman's pipe flower (Aristolochia grandiflora). I found them at the Agricultural park in Tenom, introduced and come from South/Central America.
